A Letter from the Founder
When you trade questions and answers with a conversational AI, a single reply can raise several new questions, and the chat stretches on without end.
Sooner or later a moment comes when it all blurs: what was I curious about at the start, what did I ask along the way, and what exactly did that answer say.
You try to scroll back up to retrace your steps, but the thread has grown so long that it is easy to give up.
I wondered: when a question arises from a passage, could you simply pick that spot and ask right there?
And further, if the record of questions and answers could be structured to fit in a single view, I believed information could be processed far more deeply.
So I built Thinket, a branching conversational AI. Drag the point you are curious about in the middle of a conversation to resolve it on the spot, and visualize every trace of your exploration.
We do not make a promise we cannot keep: that simply using Thinket will improve your learning. AI produces fluent answers more easily than any brilliant human teacher, and inside Thinket that problem does not go away. It still threatens us.
What we believe we can do is create the conditions for not mistaking a fluent answer for understanding: to doubt, to go back, to branch off and ask, and to reconnect. Thinket does not think for you. It makes room for thinking to continue.
